OpenClaw itself keeps your data local, so there is nothing to opt out of in the tool. Your privacy depends on which AI model you connect it to — choose one whose policy you trust, and apply that model's own training opt-out.
What happens to your data when you use OpenClaw?
OpenClaw runs on your own machine and is open source, so your data and the skills it builds stay local rather than on a company's server. The nuance: it does its actual thinking by calling an AI model (like Claude or ChatGPT), so whatever you ask it to process is sent to whichever model provider you connect, and that provider's own privacy policy then applies. The OpenClaw tool itself does not collect or train on your data.
