Yes, unless you switch it off — and you can.
Can you turn Canva's training off?
Your account → Privacy controls → turn off the toggles that allow your content to be used to improve Canva's AI-powered features. Teams and Enterprise accounts are already excluded and cannot be opted in.
Is what you put into Canva private?
Canva collects your account and usage data. For Free and Pro users, your content can be used to improve Canva's AI features by default — this is switched on unless you turn it off under Your account → Privacy controls. Teams, Business, Enterprise, and Education accounts are never used for AI training. Canva states that you keep ownership of what you make and that it does not claim your designs.
So, is Canva safe to use?
Mostly, with care. We currently rate Canva "Use With Caution" (privacy risk: Medium). Worth reading the points above before you share anything personal.
