For the person who writes the yearly letter, and for grandparents keeping far-away family close. By the end you have a short letter that sounds like you, a few lines for the card, and a question relatives can answer.
Whoever writes the once-a-year family letter, or wishes someone would, including grandparents who want far-away family to feel close.
New to AI? Open ChatGPT or any AI chat tool, copy a prompt, change the words in [brackets], and send it. Then reply to it like a conversation.
I'm writing our once-a-year letter to far-away family. I will describe people, not name them. Use my words for people. If I wrote our eldest or Grandpa, keep that. Do not invent names. My rough notes: [paste a few lines for each season] Sort these into 4 or 5 themes a relative would want to hear. One plain line each. Use only what I wrote. If a note is thin, say so. Do not write the letter yet. Do not add events, feelings, a cause, or a bright side I did not write. Do not ask me for a full name, address, school, workplace, diagnosis, or a photo.
