The details
- What it does
- A personal AI agent that does tasks for you: booking, form-filling, shopping, customer-service calls, travel plans. It works in its own secure virtual computer with its own browser, keeps going after you close the app, and asks before sensitive actions such as sending an email or making a purchase.
- Cost
- Free, with a weekly usage limit. Power is US$20 a month and Maximum is US$100 a month; both only raise the limit. You must be 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to subscribe.
- Where it works
- Launched in the US on 8 September 2026 and in Canada on 18 September 2026, on the web, iPhone and Android, plus WhatsApp. Not in the UK or EU yet. Some big shops (Amazon, for one) block it.
- Privacy
- Meta says a separate monitor approves anything Muse sends to the internet, Muse cannot see your passwords or card numbers directly, and you can opt out of your chats being used to train Meta's AI. Security experts still urge caution about giving any company this much access. Turn on only the apps you need.
