Is Qwen Studio safe to use?
The hosted Qwen app: chat, files, pictures, and voice on the phone, on qwen.ai, and on the desktop client. Run by NTH Power Global Tech Singapore. Not the downloadable Qwen model weights, and not Alibaba Cloud's developer console (Model Studio).

Can you turn Qwen Studio's training off?
The public policy and service agreement we read on 14 October 2026 describe an email opt-out, not a Settings switch. Email privacy@qwen.com and say you do not want your content used for model training. The service agreement says that after you opt out they stop using your content for training, but a thumbs-up or thumbs-down is still used. Do not tap those on anything private. You can delete the account from the Qwen Settings page. That does not promise every copy is gone. They keep data when the law or a dispute requires it. If you would not pin it on a grocery-store bulletin board, do not put it in the hosted app.
Is what you put into Qwen Studio private?
What you type, upload, or say in Qwen Studio is sent to Alibaba Cloud (Singapore) so the app can answer. The privacy policy dated 7 September 2026 says that company processes it in Singapore, and that the service is run by NTH Power Global Tech Singapore. They say the processor deletes that input after the reply. They also say they may use a de-identified copy of what you sent, and your thumbs-up or thumbs-down, to train their models. The service agreement dated 10 September 2026 says you can email privacy@qwen.com to opt out of that training. The documents describe an email opt-out, not a settings switch, and feedback can still be used for training after you opt out. They ask you not to upload health records, ID documents, or financial account details. A Memory feature can keep details from chats for later replies. This is the hosted app. Running a Qwen model on your own computer is a different choice, covered on our Qwen privacy page.
So, is Qwen Studio safe to use?

“I searched "is Qwen Studio safe" and got a page about the model, not the app on my phone. The paperwork is a Singapore company, and what I paste can still train their models unless I email them. A thumbs-down still counts after that. I am not putting my lab results in there to find out.”
