What an Affiliate Link Is

When we link to a product or service on this site, we sometimes use what’s called an affiliate link. That means: if you click the link and buy the thing, we receive a small commission from the seller. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you’d found it yourself. You don’t pay more. We just get a small percentage of the transaction.

It is a common way for content platforms to earn revenue. We are telling you about it because you have a right to know.

Recommendations for AI tools, software, and related services on this site may use affiliate links. Where this applies, it is disclosed at the point of the recommendation.

The standalone guides in our Shop are sold directly through Paddle — no affiliate arrangement is involved there. Those are our own products.

How This Affects Our Recommendations

It doesn’t. Or rather: we don’t recommend things because of affiliate arrangements. We recommend things we have evaluated ourselves and found to be genuinely useful for this audience. If something earns us a commission, that’s secondary. If something doesn’t perform as described, we don’t recommend it, regardless of what it might pay.

We have been in information technology long enough to know what bad tool recommendations do to your credibility. We are not going to trade that for a referral fee.

How to Identify Affiliate Links

Where affiliate links are used, they are labelled as such near the recommendation — either with a note in the text or a small disclosure marker. If you’re ever uncertain about a specific link, contact us and we’ll tell you directly.
